The 2024 Indonesian Broadcasting Conference (IBC) is an initiative by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) to address the complexities of today's broadcasting industry. One of the primary challenges faced by the industry is the increasingly fierce competition for audience attention.
Traditional business models that rely on television advertising are no longer sufficient. There is a need for smart work in producing engaging, original, and high-quality programs. Leveraging data analytics to understand audience preferences and behavior, as well as accurately adjusting content strategies, is essential.
Innovation is required to offer an immersive and interactive viewing experience that captivates audiences, such as integrating social media, virtual reality, or even the metaverse. Higher education institutions are striving to contribute through research activities and competitions related to this field.
As a result, the broadcasting industry in Indonesia can develop with diverse contributions from various sectors, including students, academics, and practitioners.
